Whole Maine Lobsters On The Grill

Lobster Recipe:

Get ready for one of the tastiest summer treats you’ll ever have! Give Dad a great reason to fire up the grill this Father’s Day! This lobster recipe can also be prepared in your broiler. Live lobsters make a great gift idea! Serves Two.

Carefully place two live Maine lobsters (either 1.25 or 1.5 lb.) each in boiling water. When the water returns to a soft boil, set your timer for 5 minutes.

Remove the lobsters from the water. Turn the lobsters on their backs, shell side down. Take a knife and split the lobster tail down the middle, then pour melted butter and lemon right onto the meat. Crack the claws and pour more melted butter and lemon right into the claw meat.

Grill or broil the lobsters, shell side down for, 4 to 8 minutes, checking regularly for doneness (lobster meat should be completely white in thickest part of the lobster tail). Keep lobsters on their backs so the meat doesn’t dry out, they are cooking in their own juices. Enjoy!
